She had a lot of work to do, and she needed to focus. As she read through the reports and financial statements, Tang Xue Mei’s mind began to spin with different ideas and strategies.
She was interrupted by a knock at the door. It was her father’s assistant, Mrs. Wang. "Miss Tang, the board of directors is waiting for you in the conference room," she said.
Tang Xue Mei stood up, smoothing out her dress. She took a deep breath and walked out of the office, ready to face the challenges ahead.
As she entered the conference room, she saw the board of directors seated around the table, their faces serious and concerned.
"Miss Tang," the chairman began,
"we are glad to see you taking an interest in the company. Your father’s condition is...unfortunate, and we need someone to take charge."
Tang Xue Mei nodded and sat down, her face calm and cold. "I am ready to take on the responsibility," she said, her voice firm and confidence.
The board of directors nodded, their faces skeptical but also impressed. They knew that Tang Xue Mei was young and inexperienced, but they also knew that she was her father’s daughter, and that she had a natural talent for business.
As the meeting went on, Tang Xue Mei outlined her plans for the company’s future. She spoke confidently and clearly, her ideas and strategies impressing the board of directors.
By the end of the meeting, Tang Xue Mei had won over the board’s approval. She was officially appointed as the interim CEO of the company, and she was ready to take on the challenge of leading her father’s empire.
As the meeting adjourned, Tang Xue Mei felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had done it. She had convinced the board of directors to give her a chance to lead the company and mostly because of her shares, they couldn’t choose another person even if they want to.
