Chapter 421 - Chapter 421 Chapter 421 At Least Im the One by His Side Now
Chapter 421: Chapter 421 At Least I’m the One by His Side Now Chapter 421: Chapter 421 At Least I’m the One by His Side Now After the semester began, Sheng Chuyi suddenly became busy.
In addition to preparing for the Sixth Level, he had taken on two private projects. Aside from attending classes, he spent most of his other time busy. Even during weekends, he always stayed in front of his computer.
Shen Zhaozhao was not the type to sit still; she could barely endure being forced to study on weekdays, let alone waste the precious weekends on books.
With Sheng Chuyi unavailable, she simply invited a few dorm mates to go shopping with her.
“It’s rare, you’re not going out on a date with your guy during the weekend but actually shopping with us,” teased a few friends at a women’s clothing store nearby the school as they browsed through the racks.
Shen Zhaozhao: “We face each other every day, what’s the point of sticking together even on weekends? It’s called giving each other some space.”
“Aren’t young couples supposed to want to stick together 24/7?” the other three single dogs asked, not understanding.
“Maybe we’ve already passed the honeymoon phase!” Zhaozhao mentioned Sheng Chuyi, inevitably complaining, “I’ve never seen someone more bookish than him. He started preparing for the Sixth Level right after barely passing CET-4. He’s always busy with projects, I feel like we’ve even started talking less.”
Unfortunately, none of her three friends sympathized: “Just be content! A boyfriend who is handsome, ambitious, and faithful, people can’t find one even with a lantern. I don’t know who you prayed to in your last life to have such luck to find him.”
“I’m not bad either, okay?” Although he was outstanding, the fact that such an excellent person liked her also proved her own worth.
“Yes, yes, you two are a match made in heaven, meant for each other.”
Zhaozhao was just barely satisfied.
As she picked a dress from the rack and was about to try it on, she saw the fitting room door being pushed open and a familiar figure emerge.
It was Ye Wei’an.
Seeing her, Shen Zhaozhao couldn’t help but freeze.
Since Wei’an had dropped out of the club, they had almost never seen each other.
Obviously, Wei’an had been in the store all along, overhearing their conversation.
Wei’an had plotted against her multiple times. Zhaozhao had not confronted her about these issues, but she couldn’t just act as if nothing had happened, her face visibly cooled as they passed by each other. Just then, Ye Wei’an initiated, “Shen Zhaozhao, do you think you’ve won?”
This was the first time Wei’an had dropped her pretense in public.
