Holy aura was the manifestation of a higher being's aura, it came out like how smell, or an exhale come out, but this could literally destroy a lower-level creature into atoms if it was dense enough.
But, Johan saw aether just like the developers of "The Less I Know the Better", a bunch of codes, laws, and rules, some permanent, some that could be altered.
Simply put, holy aura and aether itself were just codes, so using a spell like Defuse theoretically should cancel holy aura out.
'But... there's some risk.' Johan thought, hesitating to release the spell.
Olivia didn't have a physical body anymore, only consciousness—which is soul—and soul is made of Aether. What if Defuse removed Olivia's aether instead of the holy aura? Then the holy aura would dominate and take complete control over the physical body.
Olivia was still sealed, so there shouldn't be any other risks besides Olivia's life, right?
No, if the God Tree gained full control, he would be able to use 100% of his abilities. He could just rewind time back, and if the seal managed to adapt to the time-rewinding, it could just erase the space where the seal existed out of existence, like it never happened.
Even if the seal was able to constantly adapt to any attack or ability the victim used, it still existed in this reality. If the space was removed, it would be like it never existed in the first place—meaning the God Tree was free.
Johan couldn't drop a nuclear bomb like Radhaan, or just choose a reality where the God Tree loses, so this could mean death to Olivia and the entirety of the Aurelian Empire—until someone like Radhaan or Velmire stops it.
