It was a dream.
A dream from a long, long time ago.
"Noel...l..."
The soft calling of his name gave Noel a strangely familiar feeling.
A person with black hair stood in front of him, gently stroking his head and looking into his eyes.
For some reason, Noel felt like he had seen this person before, yet at the same time, it was as if he had never met them.
"Noel, you must remember..." The person smiled and spoke, but their words were unclear.
Noel strained to see their mouth moving, but he could only make out the motion of them speaking.
"What do you mean?" Noel found himself speaking out, unable to control it.
"You’ll understand later. For now, just remember this sentence," the person smiled, but that smile seemed tinged with bitterness.
"Ha..." Startled awake from the dream, Noel panted lightly, his body drenched in sweat.
However, he didn’t seem to care about that and instead, gazed vacantly, lost in thoughts about everything that had just happened in the dream.
