"The competition segment: Naval Battle. Each team will send one participant," the pumpkin-headed referee explained, pointing toward the massive spherical water arena in the center of the stadium.
"Anyone who leaves this water sphere will be considered eliminated. The last one remaining will be the winner. However, when only two participants are left, a special rule will be applied: the five-minute rule. Once there are only two remaining, a countdown will begin. The participant who is eliminated within those five minutes will be ranked last."
From the commentator’s booth, Chapati began his live commentary duties.
"Alright! The fourth day’s competition segment has officially begun!"
"This is pretty much underwater sumo," Yajima commented from the side.
"I’m really looking forward to this. Thank you very much," added the special guest for the day, Rabian, the leader of the Troupe Tale Theatre Company.
"The selected competitors are now entering the water," Chapati announced as the chosen participants dove into the spherical arena.
Interestingly, aside from Quatro Puppies, every other team had sent a female competitor for this event.
Lamia Scale chose Sherria, Blue Pegasus sent Jenny, Mermaid Heel fielded Risley, Fairy Tail Team B was represented by Juvia, Fairy Tail Team A by Lucy, and Sabertooth had Minerva, one of their top five members, stepping in to replace Yukino.
"This is Juvia’s home turf," Noel remarked, watching her move effortlessly through the water.
