In the tavern at night, Cana sat on the table, holding a bottle of liquor, drunkenly exclaiming.
"You have the nerve to say that when you were wandering around the bars instead of cheering for us?" Elfman retorted mercilessly.
"I was watching the match! Every bar has a lacrima projection!" Cana protested indignantly.
At the side, Makarov raised his glass and said, "Alright, don't sweat the small stuff. Let's have a toast to our victory!"
"It really was a great day, a good start," Erza said with a smile.
Mira nodded. "Yeah, from tomorrow onward, we all need to do our best."
"Today was just the first day. It doesn't mean much. The real battle starts now," Noel said, narrowing his eyes.
"But the most troublesome opponent, Jura, has already been defeated by Noel-nii. At least when it comes to the battles, we don't have much to fear," Ed added.
Lucy seemed to realize something and asked in surprise, "Ed, are you only wary of Jura? You don't feel any pressure from the other competitors?"
"N-no... that's not what I meant..." Ed hurriedly tried to explain, but his flustered reaction only drew a round of good-natured laughter.
