Chapter 213: Ch 213 : Seven Years of Difference
The Open Ground in Front of the Fairy Tail Guild.
Right now, a practice battle was taking place.
"Max, you've improved quite a bit over these past seven years! I'm all fired up!"
Red flames coiled around Natsu's hands like living entities.
With a light swing of his arm, the obedient flames burst forth, transforming into waves of fire.
Forced to defend, Max hurriedly used his magic to manipulate sand, forming a defensive net in front of him to block the flames.
However, despite his efforts, some of the fire still managed to pierce through the sand, surging toward him.
Seeing this, Max's expression changed, and he quickly retreated, narrowly dodging Natsu's attack.
"Hey, hey, are you kidding me? Your time should have been frozen for seven years, right? Meanwhile, we've been training hard all this time. So why does it feel like the gap hasn't closed at all?" Max called out in frustration.
While he had never expected to defeat Natsu, he had at least hoped that after seven years of hard work, the difference in their strength would have lessened.
But judging by the current situation, the gap remained just as wide as before, leaving Max feeling utterly exasperated.
