"Where did they run off to?"
The voices of the kingdom's soldiers conducting their search echoed into the underground warehouse where Lucy and her companions were hiding.
"This time, we're completely stuck..."
Hearing the commotion outside, Carla sighed helplessly.
"The area around Wendy must be heavily guarded. There's no way we can get close."
Lucy's mood sank as well.
Although they had temporarily escaped pursuit, the silk restraints on her hands prevented her from using magic.
With Carla and Happy lacking effective combat abilities, breaking through the tight security to rescue Natsu seemed nearly impossible.
"Right, didn't Noel say that Mira, Gajeel, and the others were coming to rescue Natsu too? Should we just wait here?" Lucy suddenly recalled what Noel had mentioned earlier.
