Chapter 94: Ch 94 : The Prelude to Civil War
"Don't joke around! How can we work with someone like him?" Natsu slammed his hand on the table in anger, glaring at Gajeel.
The other guild members also wore expressions of discontent, though out of respect for Makarov's long-standing authority, they all chose to remain silent.
"Relax, I have no intention of getting close to you," Gajeel sneered coldly.
"How infuriating!"
"I just want to find work. Never thought I'd have to work in the guild that pisses me off the most—it's really annoying," Gajeel stood up, glaring back at Natsu.
"What did you say?!" Natsu, veins bulging on his forehead, shot back with an intense glare.
"Guiding young people who have strayed onto the wrong path back onto the right one is also part of an old man's duty. I believe he has a decent nature deep down..." Makarov's voice gradually softened, as even he started to feel that his reasoning was a bit far-fetched. Feeling slightly guilty, he turned his head away.
"If this is the master's decision, then we will follow it. However, I believe we should keep him under surveillance for now," Erza said expressionlessly.
Although she was deeply displeased, her trust in Makarov and her disciplined nature led her to accept the decision.
"Alright," Makarov sighed, knowing this was the best compromise he could hope for.
"Hello, my name is Noel. Noel Rutherford. Pleased to meet you."
