Chapter 71: Ch 71 : Madness and Destruction
"Finally, you've come out?" Nord looked at the several elders from the Elder Council standing before him, especially Claude and Hughes, who were standing at the forefront.
"This is quite a big fuss, isn't it, Mr. Nord Rutherford? It's time to end this, or else others might start to doubt whether my creation is a failure," Hughes shrugged, his tone casual, but the expression on his face was dark and grim.
Claude, Nord's father, said nothing.
His eyes were emotionless as they fixed on Nord, his face betraying no expression, like a stranger.
"Did you come out to have me kill you?" Nord's voice was calm, so calm that it betrayed no emotion, but it was this very calmness that sent a chill down the spines of everyone present.
"Heh," Upon hearing Nord's words, Hughes forced back the chill creeping up his spine and sneered. "Do you really think you're invincible now? Nord, we could elevate you to the throne, and we can just as easily bring you down."
Nord didn't waste time talking with Hughes.
The golden divine power wrapping around him radiated a brilliant light, and he began to chant, "[Declaration of the God King : My word is truth, and before me, all is but illusion.]"
As the words left his mouth, the space in front of Nord instantly shattered.
Black lines appeared, crisscrossing the void.
The elders' council members, seeing this bizarre sight, all took several steps back.
