Chapter 63: Ch 63 : God
Countless needles pierced into Nord's neck and wrists, injecting the necessary energy to sustain his bodily functions.
He lay silently on the operating table as researchers carrying various experimental instruments moved around him, preparing for the next phase of the experiment.
Hughes observed Nord with a satisfied smile. "Heh... what a perfect expression, what a perfect gaze—lifeless, hollow, emotionless. Yes, this is exactly what I believe a God should be. You will become the greatest deity, Nord Rutherford."
Nord remained silent, his dead, empty eyes fixed on the ceiling.

"Hmm?" Hughes let out a questioning hum, unsure of what Nord meant.
"You once said... this place is the intersection between heaven and hell."
"Yes, I did say that." Hughes nodded, though he wasn't sure where the conversation was going.
Hearing this confirmation, a faint smirk curled at the corner of Nord's lips.
Then, that smirk widened—wider and wider—until it turned into a full-blown laugh.
"Hahaha... Hahahahaha!"
