Noel looked at the boy before him.
The magic surrounding him was the same shade of purple as that of Phantom Lord's master, Joseph.
However, it felt completely different.
Joseph's purple magic was like "death," while the magic of the boy in front of him was like amethyst—smooth, translucent, yet radiant.
"Noel Rutherford... No, I should call you Nord Rutherford, right?" Reign gazed at Noel, speaking slowly.
Though his tone still carried arrogance, there was now a hint of caution, and the disdain on his face gradually faded.
Hearing Reign address him by that name, Noel frowned but said nothing.
He had expected this—after all, the last time he encountered Garlos, the latter had used the same name.
The enemy clearly knew a lot about him; otherwise, they wouldn't have known this name.
A name he had discarded fourteen years ago.
Other than Makarov, not even Mira or Erza, the people closest to him, knew that he had once gone by that name.
