As Noel was looking around for an interesting game to play, a sudden explosion echoed in his ears, and the surrounding lights were abruptly extinguished.
"What happened?" Noel frowned, staring into the pitch-black surroundings.
Before he could make sense of the situation, an astonishing surge of magical power erupted from behind him.
Though caught off guard, Noel's sharp reflexes and years of experience allowed him to instinctively conjure multiple barriers around himself.
However, to his surprise, this surge of magic didn't form an offensive spell—it manifested into a confinement barrier, trapping him inside a transparent cage.
"A barrier spell?" Noel muttered to himself, scanning the transparent prison surrounding him.
Then, he shifted his gaze to the outside, spotting a burly man with a steel guard on his chin and a headscarf wrapped around his head, alongside another man with sharp, angular facial features, wearing sunglasses.
White magic surged around Noel, crashing fiercely against the prison walls.
Yet, despite his powerful assault, the cage only trembled violently instead of shattering as he had expected.
"What a sturdy barrier." Noel furrowed his brows.
