Chapter 30: Ch 30 : The Decision of the Three
"Is that all? Any more questions?"
In a simply decorated yet exquisitely refined room, a young man sat on a high-backed chair, his long, slender fingers interlaced beneath his chin.
A wide yet elegant coat draped over his slim frame, while his pale golden hair cascaded naturally down the sides of his face.
His strikingly handsome features were accompanied by a pair of deep, sky-blue eyes, which at this moment, gleamed with a chilling light.
"Hmph, a bunch of useless fools. To think they allowed themselves to be humiliated by Phantom Lord, a guild that's already on the decline. Those so-called S-Class Mages, the Element 4—I could take all four of them down by myself. What the hell is the old man thinking? And those idiots in the guild, are they all brainless?" A voice, arrogant and filled with suppressed fury, echoed from a magic crystal in front of the golden-haired youth.
"Master will handle it," another voice spoke from a separate magic crystal.
Unlike the first, this one was calm, logical, and devoid of unnecessary emotion.
"Old man is strong. Joseph may be one of the Ten Wizard Saints, but to think he could defeat him? He'd need another million years." The arrogant voice was thick with disdain toward Joseph, the Phantom Lord's Guild Master, despite his prestigious title.
"Master is indeed powerful, but Joseph isn't a fool. He knows he can't win against him in a direct fight. This provocation—damaging our guild hall without harming any of our members—was calculated. Even the Magic Council will likely only issue a warning and a fine at most." The golden-haired youth spoke softly, his tone laced with a chilling edge.
"Noel, what do you think?" the calm voice suddenly inquired.
"This matter cannot be left unresolved. Even if Master wants to let it go, that doesn't mean Phantom Lord will. This was an outright provocation. We must make sure they never forget the consequences of crossing us!"
