Lorelai’s body instinctively shrank as Kai’s bloodshot eyes locked onto her. His glare carried something disturbingly unhinged, a twisted intensity that sent an icy shiver rippling down her spine.
She stood frozen, unsure of how to respond. Even the basic courtesy of a greeting felt like an impossible task. Yet, after a moment of internal struggle, the princess managed to steady herself just enough to speak. "

Kai’s lips curved into a grin that only deepened her unease. Without hesitation, he shoved the three women off him, their languid bodies sprawling across the bed. Rising to his feet, he began an almost predatory march toward his stepsister. His pale, naked form glistened under the dim light, slick with a mixture of sweat and saliva that made his presence feel even more oppressive.
It was the first time Lorelai had seen him—or any man—entirely exposed.
Kai was not overwhelmingly large or brutish, but his body bore the lean strength of someone accustomed to physical activity. His well-defined chest and arms betrayed the results of regular exercise and horseback riding, each muscle taut with restrained power.
Lorelai’s gaze betrayed her curiosity, trailing hesitantly down his torso. But the moment her eyes reached the hollow of his navel, she flinched, her breath hitching in her throat. A wave of shame washed over her. Was she even allowed to look at him like this? The thought alone made her cheeks burn a furious red as her entire body was consumed by mortified heat.
Kai, of course, noticed her flustered state immediately. His chuckle was low and mocking, a sound that only stoked her embarrassment further. With an air of impatience, he turned toward the women sprawled on his bed. "Get the hell out of here, all of you!"
