"These guys..." Zixu didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Why the hell did things suddenly turn so ridiculous? This didn't feel right. Shouldn't the final battle be solemn and intense?
"But these guys better not hog all the top spots in the competition. If they do, people will say I rigged it... Whatever, I just hope they don't overdo it and slap too many faces."
Zixu shook his head and called Rosinante over.
That guy had completely evolved into a full-time slacker. He even pretended to play dead like he hadn't heard Zixu, but he still got dragged over.
"What the hell do you want?" Rosinante grumbled. There was nothing worse than getting caught mid-slack.
Zixu gave Rosinante a regretful look. The little black snake he'd raised had grown into a fat serpent—and now it was fishing with Rosinante. These two really made a pair.
"Quit slacking. I need to ask you something. Have you suddenly felt a strange power inside you?" Zixu was starting to suspect that the system he lost might've migrated to Rosinante.
"Nope. You asked, I answered. Can I go slack off now?" Rosinante said flatly, totally shameless.
Zixu stared into his eyes, trying to see through him completely.
