Chapter 48: Sharing the Chakra Fruit
Su Xiuyu suddenly opened his eyes. After six months of receiving his daily chakra infusion, the sacred tree had begun to develop a faint trace of intelligence. Though it couldn't communicate directly with him, it could now express simple preferences.
A faint thought rippled through Su Xiuyu's mind. He deduced that the sacred tree's fruit had likely ripened, though its limited consciousness couldn't explicitly convey this information.
Without hesitation, Su Xiuyu ascended to the top of the sacred tree. Over the past six months, he had gradually developed the ability to fly. Though his flight speed remained slow, it was evident that his Ōtsutsuki bloodline had strengthened, granting him the ability to manipulate gravity.
The Rinnegan possessed powerful gravitational control abilities. The strength of such abilities depended entirely on the user's skill. Now, mastering this new power marked a crucial step in Su Xiuyu's growth. It signified that his bloodline was nearing the Six Paths level, though he had yet to fully reach it.
To attain true Six Paths-level power, one needed to master Yin-Yang Release, the Bloodline Selection Net, the Sage Eyes, and possess a fully awakened Sage Body. While Su Xiuyu hadn't yet met these conditions, it was merely a matter of time.
He silently acknowledged that, without the system providing him with a complete Ōtsutsuki bloodline, he wouldn't have even had a younger brother—let alone dared to use his Mangekyō Sharingan.
At the peak of the sacred tree, a rose-red fruit gleamed, emitting a fragrant aroma. Su Xiuyu gently wiped it, causing the tree to tremble slightly in response.
"You'll have to remain on this planet for now," Su Xiuyu murmured. "I'll be leaving for a while, but I've already set the spatial coordinates. I'll return to retrieve you soon."
The sacred tree extended a vine, as if reluctant to part with him, but it did not attempt to stop him. It seemed to understand his words.
"Also, I've projected the Sharingan's illusion onto you. Occasionally, release it on the Precursors to reinforce their memories. Keep them working hard for you. After all, they're just our puppets, so pushing them a little harder isn't a problem."
The sacred tree, though it didn't understand what "pushing harder" meant, still agreed. To it, the Precursors were simply a strange and ugly bunch, so giving them extra "encouragement" seemed reasonable.
