Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto

Chapter 1: Reincarnation and Awakening

On the Blue Star Continent, in the Great Qin Empire, Wanjiang Province, at Yangcheng No. 1 Middle School, a student named Su Xiuyu sat in his classroom in Grade 3 (1) Class. He was of average height and build, a little on the thin side, with delicate features and a somewhat dull expression.

Su Xiuyu had been in this world for over ten years. As a transmigrator from another world, he often felt like he wasn't living up to that title.

He wasn't handsome enough to leave people in awe—just a bit above average. He wasn't a plagiarist either. Sure, he remembered many anime, movies, and fairy tales from his past life, but relying on his increasingly fuzzy memory alone wasn't enough to copy them outright.

Unlike many protagonists in novels, Su Xiuyu wasn't an orphan with dead parents and a conveniently inherited house and sister. Instead, he had a simple, ordinary family—a loving mother and father, no sister, no siblings at all. His past-life memories had surfaced gradually as he grew up, making him sometimes doubt if he had actually reincarnated or was just suffering from schizophrenia.

If not for the strange, natural wormholes that appeared on Blue Star two years ago, Su Xiuyu might have completely forgotten about his past life. After all, his previous world had been a peaceful and stable place called Earth.

But ever since these wormholes were discovered by various nations, the world's situation had changed drastically. Some who ventured inside and returned alive displayed extraordinary abilities, proving that these wormholes led to different worlds.

Su Xiuyu sighed, knowing his peaceful days were over. Governments worldwide launched large-scale explorations, treating these other worlds as new frontiers. The Milijian Empire (clearly inspired by America) had even attempted large-scale colonization—only to be beaten back miserably.

It turned out that Blue Star's technology was inferior to Earth's. Worse still, once inside these other worlds, modern weapons like guns and explosives became nearly useless, their power significantly weakened, as if suppressed by the will of those worlds. On top of that, the inhabitants of these other worlds weren't easy to deal with either. Many expeditions ended in disaster.

But what did all of this have to do with Su Xiuyu?

He was just an average high school student—average in martial arts, average in academics, average in everything. He was too young for any of this to concern him.

Everything had been fine until now. But as a third-year student, he was at a crossroads—choosing between a Martial Arts Academy and a Cultural Academy. The problem? Su Xiuyu had no special talent for either. He wasn't particularly good at academics, and his martial arts skills were nothing to brag about.
