The crimson princess

Chapter 48: A name for the child

Pov Dia,

A few days have passed since that incident at night. Fortunately, no one knows what happened. At least, I think so, because I never know what Rimuru is thinking, and I have the impression that she knows everything I do. She might even notice when I blink at a faster pace.

While I was stressing about whether they knew what happened, we asked Inari and Kurama to train us.

Kurama taught us an ultra-effective technique, but also a very dangerous one because we could die using it. The goal is to be able to use all our demonic energy to fight. The problem is that it doesn't last long, and the risks can range from losing a limb to death, or being unable to use our demonic energy anymore.

So, we should only use this technique in case of extreme emergency, and even in those cases, we must think carefully about whether it is really worth doing.

And Inari's training was very interesting. We had to fight her individually, but what sets it apart from Scathach-sensei's training is that Inari is already weaker than Scathach-sensei and that we must fight her while she uses her nine tails.

It is really impressive; fighting each tail gives the impression that they are independent and therefore leaves us no respite. She uses Touki to increase the resistance of her tails, then attacks us like a whip.

Her strength level is between the ultimate rank and my current rank; it just depends on the type of opponent she is fighting.

Dia: "I have a question, Inari. Is it possible for you to become a deity?"
