Chapter 36: Time skip
Author's note: Let's take another time skip because most things that happen during this time are just torture.
Pov Dia,
We've finally completed that grueling training. Three years of enduring hardship where we suffered every day. It's quite an achievement not to have lost one's head. I feel like it would have been quicker to just remove our nervous systems, but Sensei Scathach's goal isn't to inflict pain on us but rather to prevent that pain from hindering us.
Scathach: "Life would be less cool if you no longer had your nervous system."
Dia: "We almost lost him because of you."
Scathach: "It's true that without me, you wouldn't have any sensation left. But you can still use your five senses perfectly and feel everything, albeit without it being a hindrance."
But besides enduring pain and poison, we also had to work on our five senses. Occasionally, we had to carry out daily activities without any light. Living in a place where the smell was unbearable and enduring various other training constraints.
Because of all these experiences, I almost advanced in my devil rank. I feel that with a little more time, I could make the breakthrough.
Rimuru and Sera have ascended to Ultimate-Class Devils, even though Rimuru isn't a devil, he's at least at an equivalent level. Even though three years have passed, I still share the same thoughts as Sera about preferring to be a slime.
While we were enduring, Rimuru must have deciphered the meaning or intentions of a person just by looking at them for a second. At least now, Rimuru would be able to understand anyone, even if that person shows no emotion.
This training has greatly aided her in her maid training since she can now start executing my orders without me having to say them. The maids are truly remarkable.
