Atlas’s voice suddenly turned serious as he stared into her eyes, his blue eyes swirling with emotions so intense that even Liora found them hard to describe. His gaze didn’t waver, piercing straight into her. It felt like he was trying to say something more—but couldn’t.
Why did he suddenly look so serious? And for a second, why did she see sorrow in his eyes? Her breath hitched. She couldn’t even tell if she imagined it. But just as quickly as it came, it vanished—gone without a trace.
The man calmly pinched the tip of her sword with his bare fingers and pushed it away from his neck, barely using any strength.

With a simple tug, the sword was ripped from her hands.
Atlas looked at the weapon with disgust. "If you fought using this, I’m sure... you wouldn’t last even a second. Can you imagine how embarrassing that would be for us? I wouldn’t even be able to show my face."
He didn’t even glance at her as he said it, holding the weapon between two fingers like it was something filthy.
Liora’s anger instantly flared as the bastard tossed her sword aside like it was a worthless toy.
