Chapter 99: A full denial breakdown
At first, Cass had resisted what was happening. He had refused to believe what was happening to him. He refused to look at it objectively, and lived in denial even as he floated in and out of consciousness and kept waking up hot, warm, sweat pouring from his body.
Every time he woke up from his dazed state, his body was in so much pain, and he was aching. He refused to acknowledge what he was aching for, what he needed, and instead tried to soothe the thirst that was plaguing him with water.
It was only as he was practically bathing himself in the drinkable water that he groaned, realising that there were better options.
He practically fell off of the bed, his legs barely working as he dragged himself to the bathroom. He turned the water to cold, yanking his pants off, ignoring the throbbing pain of his crotch and crawled into the tub as the water filled it.
He was shivering, the water cooling his body, but doing nothing for the heat that raged inside of him.
"Fuck. What is this?" Cass asked out loud. "You fucking fucker, Lord Blackburn. We are going to h-have some words after this." Cass warned, stuttering as the cold got to parts of his body, but not to where it was needed.
Fuck. He was so hot, and it was like a pulse was going to his damn crotch. This didn’t feel like desire, it felt like a fucking need. Like he was...he was hungry and only one thing would fill him up.
Cass choked on the words he’d said inside his head.
