Chapter 262: Anouk Arrives
Chapter 262: Anouk Arrives
Five days after the audience, there was no nightly duty tonight. Lily’s important feminine days had begun yesterday, so I too had been given a holiday. Contact with me was basically forbidden for her as well; she had entered a period of abstinence. I suddenly wondered whether those days had simply never arrived during the journey from the capital of the Marie Kingdom to here, but being the type who can read the room, I asked nothing.Because medicine production had been halted, my fully operational testers had also stopped production. Stock was already accumulated, so there was no need to make more so soon. I did wonder what would happen to the efficacy if it sat too long, but there was no way to check, so I simply chose to believe it would not change.
Rudolf had gone out for his night job. With my temporary extra income continuing, I thought he could quit the night work, but apparently he could not stop suddenly; he had to continue until a replacement was found. What a dutiful man, Rudolf! As a former Japanese I also thought, Well, that’s how it is.
I had darkened the room and been lying in bed for a while when the window made a kotsun sound. I thought it was my imagination, but it came again. Without lighting a lamp I went to the window. A faint glow, no brighter than firefly light, was drawing a circle below. When I opened the window the light entered the room. Pushed back by it I toppled, and something landed right on top of me.
It was Anouk!
She wore a tight, black, tights-like outfit from head to toe, her hair still in a bun, her face completely uncovered. She wore the same slightly sour, intimidating expression as before. So that scary face was simply her normal face.
"A-Anouk-san?"
I was so startled I could barely speak.
"Ambassador Marie, you are not prepared, I see."
That was her first line. She remained on top of me, straddling the area around my cock. Anouk herself did not seem to mind, but I was receiving subtle stimulation.
"Prepared for what?"
"Have you forgotten after all? Haa... Previously Her Majesty said to make the medicine once every five days. Today is that day, so I came to guide you and fetch you."
It was less that I had forgotten and more that I had never heard it. Had the shocking things I was told thrown my ears into such a panic that they simply failed to register it?
"Ah—was that so?! I am truly sorry!"
"I thought as much. When you were speaking with Her Majesty you wore an expression of considerable shock, so I told Her Majesty, ’Ambassador Marie almost certainly did not take that in.’"
