Chapter 237: Elle This Is The Demonstration!
I cut Lily’s shocked cry off completely."Elle, if you’re willing to help, we can probably make three cups. Three cups would be sixty gold coins, but today we’ll give you special service—forty coins for two cups."
I stated it plainly. Next to me Lily was making an "uwah" sound, but I ignored her. Right in front of us Elle looked incredibly happy, hands clasped over her chest, and she bowed deeply.
"Understood! Please, let me help in any way I can! I beg you!"
I’d said it—anything! I said I’d do it! But seeing how positively she was reacting, a tiny bit of guilt did creep in. Still, when you thought about it, no one was getting hurt! Elle would rejuvenate, she’d get the money waived, everyone would be happy! The only sourpuss here was Lily.
"No matter what you see, you must not be shocked, all right?" I said.
Elle nodded vigorously.
"I’ve prepared my heart. You don’t need to repeat the warning."
Strong words came back from Elle. Lily let out a tiny sigh. Then Lily asked:
"Forgive me for asking, but are you married, Elle?"
For some reason Elle puffed out her chest proudly and answered:
"No! I’ve been working at Her Grace’s side the entire time and I’ve never married. I’ve never even gone out with a man!!"
Hearing that, I couldn’t help but twitch. Lily glanced at me, probably thinking "I told you so." But I couldn’t back out now!
"If you see anything and realize you can’t do it yourself, please let me know anytime. Don’t push yourself."
Lily added.
Elle replied gratefully:
"Thank you for worrying. But I’m fine. I have no intention of running away!! After all, you’re doing it too, Lily-san, right?"
"Yes, well... I am doing it..."
Lily trailed off, but the more she said it, the more she was sealing Elle’s escape route.
"Then let’s begin. First, just watch."
With that Lily took a wine glass from the shelf, placed it on the table, and knelt. I stood in front of her. Elle’s face was full of expectation.
