"Keep dreaming!" Mu Jiayu snarled viciously, "I’m going to tell my mom right now and see how she reacts. The father and daughter exchanged pleasantries before Yun Shifei started sharing some of the exciting happenings at school with Yun Tiancheng.
She also mentioned her relationship.
"Dad, my boyfriend and I are doing well. He knows that you know about us being together and says he’d love to meet you sometime. Maybe I can bring him to see you during the New Year!" Yun Shifei said happily. "Oh, by the way, he mentioned wanting to send you some gifts—he’ll mail them to you one of these days."
"Good, good," Yun Tiancheng said, delight mixed with comfort. He hadn’t expected Yun Shifei’s boyfriend to be so thoughtful.
This gesture alone made Yun Tiancheng develop a favorable impression of the young man. However, his past experiences and the boyfriend’s family background made him somewhat hesitant.
