My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 916

Chapter 916

Anton no longer needed to craft additional magic items. He already possessed immense wealth stored inside his inventory from selling movies to the elves of Meronoma. However, during the final hours before the ship arrived at Remuth, he found himself too restless and excited to sit still. To channel that excess energy, he spent the time creating several more magic items.

At the very least, if the need ever arose, he could always sell them for coins.

Not that Anton was worried about money. His family's businesses were thriving and continuing to expand. If he ever needed additional funds, he could simply return home. In the worst-case scenario, he could always explore one of the nearby dungeons for mana stones.

When the announcement came that Remuth was finally in sight, Anton felt the same excitement that swept through the rest of the passengers.

He left his room, knowing he had no reason to return since all of his belongings were already inside his inventory. He made his way to the deck overlooking the harbor, where everyone had gathered to watch the ship dock at the port of Remuth.

As expected, none of his close friends had joined him earlier because they had all been busy helping their families pack for their permanent departure from the ship.

After a while, he spotted Paul, Eric, and the rest of his friends with their families waiting nearby. The moment they noticed him, they hurried over.

It was a bittersweet farewell. During the voyage, they had all become genuine friends, but once the ship docked, each of them would begin a new life in Remuth, leaving little opportunity to gather as they once had.

Some of the girls fought back tears as everyone exchanged their farewells. Most of them couldn't even promise to keep in touch because their families had yet to find permanent lodging.

Anton felt as though he were saying goodbye to classmates after graduation. He had experienced that feeling before, and just like then, it was bittersweet. One thing he appreciated about their group was the complete absence of petty rivalries or needless arguments.

They had simply enjoyed each other's company.

Anton knew many of them had taken advantage of his generosity, but he didn't mind. In fact, he enjoyed it. To him, wealth existed to be shared and enjoyed, and spending it to create happy memories with his friends had been worth every coin.

More importantly, they had helped heal the wounds left in his heart after losing so many friends aboard the Amelia when it was destroyed by the Undead Coalition.

Anton also knew that, aside from Paul and Eric, the chances of meeting any of them again were slim. Most planned to join one of Izmorta's magical organizations, and from what he had learned, new members spent their first few years as little more than students with very little personal freedom.

The same would be true for him if he successfully joined one of those organizations. Fortunately, neither his father nor his sister worried about the separation since they could always meet through Anton's Diablo System.

Before the ship finished docking, a mage approached Anton, interrupting his farewells.

"Sir Sunder, Invincible Olemena requests your presence," the mage said.

Anton nodded and quickly exchanged his final goodbyes before following the mage to Olemena's office.

"Supreme Anton, may I speak with you regarding your plans?" Olemena asked after he took the seat she had offered him.

"I've never kept my plans secret," Anton replied. "I intend to join one of the magical organizations on this continent. I also know about the rebirth process, and I've already prepared myself to start over."

"You've reached such a high level of mastery despite your young age, and you're willing to abandon all of that simply to study under their wizards?"

"I've learned that they're the foremost experts when it comes to traveling between dimensions. As you know, my bloodline magic allowed me to open a window into the fascinating world where the movies came from. Ever since then, I've developed a desire to travel between different dimensions myself.

"I want to experience everything. I want to sail every ocean and meet cultivators. I want to travel among the stars aboard enormous spaceships. I want to see all of that and more. More than likely, I'll spend the rest of my life pursuing that dream."

Invincible Olemena sighed.

"If you had been a proper student at one of the academies in Ormunda—or even New Drennor—we would never have allowed you to throw away your accomplishments so easily. Still, you've achieved remarkable things without anyone formally guiding you along the path of wizardry. Personally, I believe you'll accomplish equally remarkable things here.

"Our greatest concern is your ability to produce Portal Scrolls. We must admit that we're still years away from perfectly replicating your family's method."

"You don't need to worry about that," Anton replied. "I'll lose the ability to create Portal Scrolls after the rebirth process, but my father has already become highly proficient at producing them through our bloodline magic."

"I know. Your father has already agreed to trade us fifty scrolls every month. I must admit, though, he's an excellent negotiator. In exchange for those scrolls, he secured some extremely generous concessions."

Anton smiled.

He was already aware of Anders's agreement with Ormunda. Since Anton could transfer Portal Tomes every day, his father already possessed thousands of Portal Scrolls. Supplying Ormunda with fifty scrolls each month posed no difficulty.

He also knew that Anders intended to gradually increase the number of scrolls traded with both Ormunda and New Drennor in exchange for resources that would further Oakswood's development. His father also planned to spread the news that Anna had become equally proficient at creating Portal Scrolls.

At the very least, that information reassured both Ormunda and New Drennor that Anton could pursue whatever path he wished without jeopardizing the long-term supply of Portal Scrolls.

Their conversation continued as they discussed Anton's plans in Remuth. He explained that he intended to purchase or rent a property where he could stay while applying to one of Izmorta's magical organizations.

Olemena warned him not to use Portal Scrolls carelessly. Remuth frowned upon anyone opening portals within the city without official authorization. However, both she and Anton smiled as she said it. They both knew that since the Portal Scrolls originated from Anton's family, no one could realistically prevent him from using them.

She did reassure him of one thing.

If a portal remained open for only a brief moment, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to detect.

That eased Anton's concerns. It meant he could still return to Rose Manor whenever necessary without worrying that the local wizards would discover his unauthorized use of Portal Scrolls.

After their discussion, Anton bid Invincible Olemena farewell, believing it would most likely be the last time they would ever meet.

Although several Invincible Wizards had been aboard the ship, Olemena was the only one with whom Anton had truly spoken.

By the time their conversation ended, the ship had already finished docking at Remuth. Anton hurried toward the gangway and was among the last passengers to disembark.

The moment his feet touched solid ground, he felt the midday sun beating down on him.

He paid it little attention.

His excitement at finally reaching Remuth and taking the first real step toward mastering multidimensional travel overshadowed everything else.

He knew he was getting ahead of himself. After all, he didn't even know whether any of Izmorta's magical organizations would accept him.

Still, he refused to let doubt spoil the moment.

He cast aside every pessimistic thought and walked forward with anticipation.
