"Lilah, please bring out the fine china and silverware. We want to impress our guests with the elegance of our table setting."
Lydia had freshen up and changed for the dinner before guiding the maids to arrange the table for dinner, she was the host whether they knew it or not.
"Yes, milady. Should I include the silver candlesticks as well?" Lilah asked softly.
Lydia glanced to find her smiling. "Absolutely. Let’s create a warm and inviting atmosphere with flickering candlelight." Lydia’s instruction was immediately being carried out.
A movement made Lydia glance left and Emily asked. "Milady, should I arrange the floral centerpieces now?"
"Yes, Emily. Choose the most vibrant blooms from the garden. We want our table to be a feast for the eyes as well." Lydia made every maid feel important and that none of this would have happened without them by adding our to all her replies.
Sloane wanted Lydia’s attention too so she asked. "And what about the napkins, milady? Shall I fold them in the traditional style or try something more creative?"
