Chapter 109: Induced Coma
Agnes slammed the newspaper onto the table, her face flushed with anger. "What is this?" she demanded, her voice sharp.
Sutton, who had been idly flipping through a fashion magazine, looked up with feigned surprise. "What is what?" she asked, her voice dripping with affected innocence.
"Don’t play dumb with me, Sutton," Agnes retorted, her eyes narrowing.
Sutton eyed her sister in law with undisguised hostility then she turned to her husband. "Albert dear, I have no idea what your pit bull of a sister wants with me, but haven’t I warned that i don’t ever want her in my home?"
Albert Marlowe opened his mouth to speak, but Agnes cut him off. "Enough of your lies, you two-timing wretch," she spat at Sutton then she turned to Albert. "I always told you that Brandon was not your son, but you were too far up in her ass to see the truth."
"What do you mean?" Sutton asked, straightening up. "How dare you say something so vile about my son? Albert won’t you say something? She is questioning your son’s paternity."
Agnes hissed like an angry car. "Sutton, there is no point in trying to hide it. The whole world knows the disgusting truth about your son’s father, and you have to leave."
When Sutton picked up the newspaper and saw the front page, her arrogance faltered. Agnes who had been watching her expression, smirked in victory. She had waited a long time for the chance to humble Sutton and at last she had been granted her wish.
However, Sutton regained her composure immediately and she looked beechingly at Albert. "You can’t send me away, I am a part of this family and I have done too much to build you for me to be discarded like garbage."
