The Throne Is Mine

Chapter 301

"Beg forgiveness for your actions," Anne advised Margaret as she walked toward the throne room doors to leave for a moment. "It will not save you in the underworld, but it will allow you to look back on the things you have done in the past and perhaps realise where you went wrong."

Margaret stood still, ignoring the calls of the men of the court as they tried to stop Amelia from leaving. She would not bed Amelia to save her. She would never beg anyone else to save her. There was nothing about what she did that she regretted even for a second. She followed what her family had started years ago. She should have told Amelia of her role in all of this sooner to have her on this side.

Margaret didn’t like that she had failed her father and other relatives, but there was something she liked about the castle she had always hated would soon crumble. In this lost battle, she only had herself to blame since she had underestimated Killian and did not kill him like she was supposed to. Whatever these witches had planned for her it would make her not have to witness demons taking over the castle.

"You heard the queen. We should do this quietly so we do not have to go through tired conversations again and again," Cordelia said as she walked to Margaret. The old woman had to be placed with the others so they could work the spell to change them all into animals.

"Priests do not go down without a fight," Margaret muttered, turning to the witch to stab her with a pin she had made of holy water. Most of the things she wore were made of holy water. She made sure of it today since she would have Killian around her.

"You!" Cordelia exclaimed, raising her hand to stop Margaret from attacking her. She caught Margaret’s hands and they struggled against each other.

"Mother!" Anne yelled, leaving Amelia’s side to help her mother before she could be touched by whatever Margaret had in her hand.

They couldn’t take any risk for something made by the priests touching any of the three witches. Witches spells did not work on them other than destroying their bodies because of the magic used. That means that if Cordelia were to die now, no spell could bring her back.

"Mother! Do it!" Anne yelled to Ramona as she grabbed Margaret’s hand to help Cordelia.
