The Throne Is Mine

Chapter 292

"Was that a bad introduction? The two of you look so scared. There is nothing else for me to say about myself unless you want to hear about my life when I was still a human like you. I did some bad things when I was still alive, and it was no surprise that I ended up in the underworld to be punished. I did not think I would fall for the devil, but deep inside of me, I always wanted to be a queen like every other little girl, so it worked out," said Lilith.

Beth pushed Fraser back so he could be out of reach from Lilith. Demons stood before her, but she did not see them as demons. She saw Lilith as a crazy person who should not be near Fraser.

Lilith sighed, annoyed by Beth continuing to stop her from speaking to the king. She just got here, and since she was in someone’s home, she wanted to be nice. "All I want to do is speak to the king. You have to worry about her killing you more than me killing you," Lilith said, pointing up to Amelia.

Amelia was the one with the bad blood with her family. Lilith was just here to watch the show and protect Amelia as she promised Killian she would.

"I will speak to the king later if he is still alive. Sadie, you should introduce yourself to his mother," Lilith said, going on to meet Amelia’s grandmother.

Sadie inspected the king who was hiding behind his mother. What happened to the kings being the fiercest men in the kingdom for them to protect the castle when it was under attack? The king who ruled the land she lived on before she died and became a demon was always at the front of his army. She later learned that he died in the middle of a war. That was a true king like Killian, who was leading the demons to the other kingdom.

Sadie held out her hand to greet Beth. "I was also once a human like you. I turned to a demon because of my desires," she said.

Beth looked down at the stranger’s hand, waiting to be shaken. The woman before her said that she was the devil’s wife, and she could only assume there was also something bad about the woman standing before her. "I am not going to shake your hand. The king does not want to speak to anyone from the north," Beth replied.

Sadie didn’t like her introduction being dismissed. Though Beth refused to touch her, Sadie made a quick move to touch Beth’s cheek, but her hand was caught by Beth. Sadie smiled, enjoying the touch. "In my past life, I could not find a man to love me, and now in this life, my touch is deadly to everyone but demons. Humans die quickly from touch," she said, looking at Beth holding her hand.
