Chapter 281
"You have called me here so early in the morning when I have not yet fed my wife. It is rude of you to be leaving already, don’t you think?" Killian said, keeping his eyes on Margaret as she tried to leave. She was the mastermind behind all of this so she could not leave just yet. Not when he knew she was looking to go to Amelia.
"He is gone!" Remiel alerted the others when Killian vanished from the spot he previously stood. He wished Margaret and the others had listened to his ideas. Then they wouldn’t have a demon doing as he liked in their temple.
Margaret halted when Killian appeared before her. Blocking her path to get out of the temple so she could go to Amelia. She reached into her hair for jewelry dipped in holy water.
"Protect lady Margaret!" Remiel yelled, rushing to be by her side.
Killian lazily looked away from Margaret to the priest running toward him. He was in the mood to kill them when they called for him and Amelia, but with Amelia hurting, he couldn’t spend his time on them. As much as he would love to stain this castle with blood, he would leave that to Amelia for her to have her revenge.
Margaret used Killian being distracted to reach into her hair for what she needed to stab him with, but she froze when she saw his eyes glowing red and loud groans leaving the mouths of the priests who were meant to be coming to defend her. Shortly after, she heard them falling to the floor.
Margaret took a risk to turn away from Killian to see what had happened to her priests. She saw their bodies were still as they no longer groaned and she could not tell if they were still breathing.
"You have not studied me enough to know the skills I possess. I have more of your kind to kill today and I would rather not return to Amelia covered in blood. Do not do something foolish. I might be inclined to kill you and hide it from Amelia," Killian said as he passed Margaret. He wanted to get a good look at the temple since it wasn’t every day he walked into one.
"Our temples are sacred. The people will be angry with not only you but Amelia since you have killed the priest-"
"They are not dead. Not yet since I have not started to feed," Kilian said, stepping over the man named Remiel. "I must thank you for preparing a feast. Naming yourselves after angels. How more of a joke can you be?"
