Chapter 264
Amelia was ready to argue with Killian for going against her wishes, but when she looked down at him lying on the snow, she forgot what she wanted to say. Killian was like a beautiful painting that many would like to get their hands on. She truly believed that it should not be fair for someone to be so good-looking, but then again, she got to admire the man beneath her.
Killian wondered what was wrong with her delayed reaction to scolding him. "You are missing the part where you scold me for not walking. What happened?" He asked, taking up a long strand of her hair to kiss. Amelia would never fail to have unpredictable moments.
"What?" Amelia slowly answered, snapping out of the trance Killian had unintentionally placed her in. "You are really handsome while surrounded by snow. Your hair blends in with it. You haven’t changed the color since I told you that I preferred white. Just this once, I will let you get away with not walking."
"Because you are horny?" Killian grinned.
Amelia greatly disliked the fact that Killian was right. The way he looked now stirred something inside of her. "Yes," she admitted before Killian could try to tease it out of her. "There are times when you look more handsome than normal, which should be impossible, and I hate it because I won’t be able to get it out of my head."
Memories of her and Killian alone had flooded her mind when she was trying to focus in the library. She had turned into a lovesick fool who could not be away from her husband for too long.
"There is work I have to do, but I cannot help thinking about when I will get to see you at night. You’ve done something to me, haven’t you? Your horny nature must have rubbed off on me," Amelia said, reaching behind herself to grab his arms and pin them down onto the snow. For a moment, she wanted to be in control.
She lowered herself so she would only be a fingertip away from his lips.
"Finally. I’ve been working hard to have it rub off on you since you became my wife," Killian replied.
