Chapter 222
"A lot of the guests have started to arrive. The throne room is filling up quickly. We must go soon so we do not miss when it is time for you to enter," Edith said as she returned from checking what was happening outside.
"I’m all done," Gina said, but she continued to touch Amelia’s hair to fix strands she thought were out of place. "We can start moving so no one can say the Queen was late. I will be near to fix your hair or your dress if needed."
"Thank you. All of you," Amelia looked around at the group. It was thanks to having a good group of people around her that she was able to prepare for such a big day. "I am ready to start moving."
"Your heart is beating faster than normal. Like you will pass out," Lilith touched Amelia’s shoulder to calm her. "Try not to think about everyone watching you."
"I am used to having a big crowd staring at me but today I feel nervous. I will get over it when we start walking. Are you sure you do not want to go ahead to find your husband? He was looking for you," Amelia said. She remembered Lucifer looking around for Lilith.
"Do not let my husband fool you. He is able to track where I am in seconds. If he wanted to find me, he would be here right now. Allow me," Lilith said, bending down to help Gina lift Amelia’s dress from dragging on the floor. "Maybe I should dress up more often. When I was alive, I didn’t get the privilege to dress up girly. My family could not afford to."
"When you were alive?" Amelia asked, confused by what Lilith meant.
"I had to die to end up in the underworld. I had a life before I met Lucifer. I am not from your kingdom or the north. We are far away from where I grew up. I killed others for a living in my old life and one day someone got the best of me. I died and as I expected, I ended up in the underworld. I met Lucifer and now the rest is history," Lilith replied.
