The Throne Is Mine

"How could you not think that let me know you have returned? I am not like you to know who it is in the bathroom. I was scared," she poked his bare chest with her index finger for each word she spoke. She had never been more scared than now when she was in a castle full of demons. "I am sorry," Killian held her hand to stop her from poking him. He pulled her close to him which she didn’t fight against. "I won’t do it again."

"You better not do it again or I won’t speak to you for a whole day. I thought," she started but didn’t finish her sentence.

"I know. I am sorry," he ran his fingers through the softness of her hair to calm her down. He heard the quick pace of her heart which had not calmed down yet. Killian didn’t intend to scare her. He went straight to the bathroom to fill it with water before going back to her. "I will be more mindful next time."

Amelia lowered her head, trying to get rid of the fear she felt. They were people like Agramon who she was still worried about even on her wedding night. She didn’t think for a second he would not take the moment when Killian was away to do something to her. She felt much better now with Killian’s comfort. She wanted him to always remember that she was different from his kind.

"I am more scared of you at times than I am of Loki who has a higher chance of killing me. Afraid you would attack me with your imaginary claws. I should have just remained in bed and let the wolves eat someone. Am I forgiven or am I to apologize more?" He asked, looking down at her.

"I am still angry but there is no use in not accepting your apology since you have promised to not do it again. The perfect way to get back at you for scaring me is to get into the tub alone. Goodbye," she stepped out of his hold and walked around the side of him to go to the bathroom.

Killian grabbed her arm gently before she got past him. "You do not need to take it so far. I did not intentionally try to scare you. What happened to wanting to be near me?" He asked.

"That is when I am laying in bed with you," Amelia stated which she considered to be obvious.
