Chapter 174
Deciding to trust Killian, Amelia decided to drop the matter. If Killian was not being truthful with her there was still a chance Agramon would approach her again to reveal something daunting about Killian. What was hidden in the dark would always come to light one day. She could only hope if Killian was lying, he would be willing to tell her the truth before someone else would.
"I won’t bring it up anymore. Just know, there will be people looking to share your secrets with him to create tension. You can always come clean about it if you are not being truthful. I will not be angry with you, just disappointed. It’s been quite a long time since I was given an update on my wedding dress so I must separate with you now and check on it. Hopefully, we see each other again before night. Goodbye," Amelia excused herself from the room first.
Amelia opened the door, finding Cyrus, her two guards, and Gina waiting for her. They have been standing outside from the moment she started to pick out the people she wanted. "I was going to see my wedding dress but we should eat something first. All of you must be tired and in need of a snack. Should we take a detour to the kitchen?" She asked.
Gina was more than happy to hear about the food. Her feet were hurting from how long she had been standing up and her stomach made its presence known. It was embarrassing each time she heard her stomach growl and the three men plus visitors who were here for Amelia kept looking at her. ’Screw them and their good hearing,’ she cursed them in her head.
"Judging from Gina’s expression, I can tell that she wishes to eat. What about the three of you?" Amelia questioned her guards who appeared reluctant to eat when it was time to watch over her. "If you are worried about what Killian shall do, do not. You do not answer to him when it comes to me taking a break for all of you to eat. I will retire to my room for an hour or two so you can go eat. Killian will not scold you and if he tries, I will deal with him."
"Then, I will eat in your room to keep an eye on you. Cyrus, do you mind bringing my food to the king’s room after you walk us there?" Gina asked since someone needed to stay with Amelia while the others ate.
"You want us to leave the person who will not be able to protect her alone with her? Bring my food and I will-"
"I will take her back," Killian interrupted the game of who got to stay with Amelia. "All of you can go eat as she ordered you to."
"Uhm. I mean, I will check on you shortly Amelia. I will pass and see if your wedding dress is ready for you to try on again. Excuse me, your highness," Gina bowed before Killian then hurried away. She felt a strange tension between the couple and wanted no part of it.
Cyrus gave Amelia a look before leaving with the others to get food.
"You must truly not have anything to do today or maybe you are one of those grooms who fears the bribe will run away if you take your eyes off of her. Or maybe, you are thinking about the answer you gave me before," said Amelia.
