My Lady Always Lacks Ambition

Qin Liuxi hadn’t turned around yet but already knew who was calling her; it was that nosy old lady who always felt the need to stir things up.

"No, no, no, the old woman came specifically for the Master." The old lady said, smiling apologetically and looking around: "Would the Master consider stepping aside to talk?"

Seeing her cautious expression, Qin Liuxi led her to a corner, a dead end which allowed clear view of anyone approaching and there was no need to fear being overheard.

"Master, the old woman’s husband’s family has the surname Shen." Mrs. Shen began by introducing herself, saying: "I also came on the master’s orders, hoping to invite the Master to our residence to treat our young lady’s illness."

Qin Liuxi did not ask from which family she came and only said: "You have traveled from afar, and I am recently overwhelmed with various affairs, and I am afraid I can’t make it to your residence. Mrs. Shen, realizing that she had hinted her origin and growing more respectful towards her, exclaimed: "Master’s Taoist skills are profound, and this matter at my master’s home can only be handled by you."

Qin Liuxi, noticing the earnest look in her eyes, asked: "You’re just here to seek help; how do you know that this matter at your residence can only be handled by me?"
