Jean shouted with a confused look on his face as he swung his dagger and turned around and slashed at his startled comrades.
“Jean!?”

“No, no, Slay, Cara!”
Cara stepped forward to defend Slay, who had been slashed in the arm, but she was unable to point her weapon at Jean, who was mumbling gibberish.
“Stay back.”
I interrupted as I slipped in there and slammed my right palm bottom into Jean’s side.
“Guho!”
I could feel his ribs cracking through the glove with magic steel in it. Normally, this would have stopped him from moving properly, but Jean stood up in a strange position, bending his body to the side, and brandished his dagger at me again.
