Chapter 153.2
[–Ugaaahhh!!]
At my provocation, several men and women, who couldn’t stand the “anxiety”, jumped out from the crowd, howling.
They were frightened. Bewildered. What was the point of being angry if they got out of control?
“—-!”
A swirling slash type pendulum sliced right across the line of sight of the man in the lead.
My dagger slips past him and penetrates the woman under the chin and into her brain, who stopped dead in her tracks.
Increased Concentration. With my level 4 [Detection] and battle instincts, I read even the flow of air on my skin, and while dodging the spear approaching from behind me like a creaking whip, I grabbed the spear, pulled it back, and kicked the cat-beastman holding it in the face with my steel-plated heel, shattering it.
Then, closing the distance at once, I slit the neck of the mature dog-beastman and hurled the heavy type pendulum down on the skull of the fat middle-aged woman who was behind him.
The blood of the slain beastmen in mere seconds turned the dry earth to mud.
I jumped into the swarm without waiting for the beastmen, using my physical strength assigned to my agility value, causing the wave of beastmen that had surrounded me to break.
There was an old tactic in that woman’s “knowledge,” a tactic of killing the first one miserably to strike fear into the rest. That’s what I did.
Even a Rank 1 or no Rank could be caught in that wave and be torn apart in a blink of an eye. I let the instinctive fear of facing death sink into the back of their minds and confronted the swarm of beasts with tight physical control, as if I were walking on a blade.
