Natasha lowered her eyelids and slowly shook her head.
Jason remained silent for a moment before asking her, "Have you ever suspected anyone in the team?"
Natasha’s eyes flickered but she maintained her silence.
Jason spoke softly, "I told Yuri a long time ago, a team hastily put together like this lacks cohesion and is bound to run into trouble eventually. People’s hearts are hidden behind their flesh; once interests are involved, who knows what they might do."
Unable to hold back, Natasha retorted, "They have no reason to do that..."
Upon hearing her words, Jason’s brow furrowed, his serious expression carrying a hint of scrutiny as he silently sized her up.
Natasha lowered her gaze again, unwilling to reveal more of her thoughts. Only her hand hidden in the bedding, clutching the corner of the blanket, was tight.
After thinking for a bit, Jason slowly spoke again, "We’re about to get out soon, there really is no reason for infighting... but don’t forget, the day before the incident, I went to talk to Yuri. The things I said to him, maybe they heard them as well."
Natasha pursed her lips and replied, "They were with me, in the living room. They shouldn’t have..."
