In an instant, all the winds reversed direction and began pulling me inside that door. Just as my body stumbled through the doorway, I felt something tugging at me.
When I managed to turn my head, I saw Jane Osmond’s body collapsing like a puppet with cut strings. I also caught sight of Liam catching her before she fell off the cliff. He was shouting something at me, but I couldn’t hear a thing. It was like… how should I put it? Like someone shouting in the vacuum of space. Only silence remained, swallowing even my own voice.
I had now completely crossed through the door. I could go home. That thought kept running through my mind over and over.
