Kiaros, having finished reading the letter, crooked the corner of his lips into a smirk.
“Ha. The Scroll Magic Department. The secretary doesn’t even know the name of the department properly.”
“Considering the Tower Master probably doesn’t care, it’s unreasonable to expect more from the secretary.”
“The Tower Master, huh? An indefinite absence... How irresponsible for the leader of an organization.”
“I’m sure you understand.”
The aide spoke softly.
“After all... it seems like he's struggling with his daughter’s issues. The Tower Master has always been eccentric, but he wasn’t this bad before.”
The aide glanced at Kiaros to gauge his reaction before continuing.
“With so much on your plate, would it be acceptable to delay the matters concerning the Scroll Management Department for now?”
“Hm.”
“I understand your suspicions about the department, but... as for Her Majesty the Empress...”
At the mention of the Empress, Kiaros cut him off sharply.
