Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 521: Alucard’s Revenge

In a dark room with a solemn atmosphere, an emaciated figure sat behind a desk while glaring at another figure kneeling opposite him with his head lowered.

"Forgive me, Lord, but we have failed to stop the ritual or capture the scientist."

The figure sitting at the desk looked gaunt, his cheeks pale and cracked, along with dry, grey hair combed across his head. Although the amount was decent, his scalp peeked through the threads.

"You failed once again, Curr?"

The Lord’s voice was sharp, raspy and oozed with charisma.

He leaned on his palm, extending his long, bony fingers while browsing his desk and office with lazy red eyes. ’These useless branch families!’ Opposite him was the leader and former patriarch of a vampire clan.

"Have the Vespera fallen so low, mere dogs can overwhelm them now?" He mocked.

The kneeling figure’s body shook from the almost tangible aura coming from the corpse-like figure, before his head lifted. "Forgive me, Lord Alucard. The enemies forces were stronger than expected and somehow the young Patriarch has reached the Great Elder realm!"

’That child...?’

Alucard’s eyes regained a flicker of light as he curled his lips into an eerie smile. "I see, has he truly reached that high so soon?" The blood aura of Alucard grew further, a thick black mist wrapping around the man’s throat. "Tell me! Did he succeed!? Are there any reports of that Báthory bitch?"

He started breathing faster, his chest almost exploding with joy and expectation.

*Cough* *Cough!*

Black blood sprayed from Alucard’s mouth as he shuddered in a coughing fit. The moment he started to suffer, the doors to his office exploded open with a loud noise.

Bang!

"Darling! Quickly!"

Mikaela rushed to Alucard’s side, her pale skin now a fairer hue with a rosy complexion on her cheeks and silky black hair. However, she focused on her husband, offering him a small vial with murky blood... half black and slightly purple.

Alucard grumbled, his eyes glowing as his fangs grew larger, and he hissed.

Shatter!

Without hesitation, he swallowed the thick and sticky blood, his cheeks healed slightly, and the paleness and dry skin became healthier, and the black returned to his hair that once looked like straw.

"This is from that mutt... the inferior version... how irritating the supply is low." Alucard’s sharp nails brushed along the tip of the second vial before he pushed it back to Mikaela. "My dear wife, save this for yourself... Your beautiful visage is enough for me."

"My dear?!" Mikaela blushed, holding the vial tight. "I will do anything for you..."

"I know, my lovely and everlasting wife."

"Ah..." Suddenly, the kneeling male made a sound, which drew the pair out of their sudden moment of affection. "!!!"

Alucard glanced at the male, his youthful face and handsome looks restored, before he tilted his head and let out a sigh. "It seems we’ll need a new puppet."

"W-Wait! I can forget what happened. Master.... Lord Alucard!"

However, despite the man’s pleading, a blade sliced through the air.

Thunk!

And with a dull thud. The former Patriarch’s head fell to the ground and rolled across the carpet.

Alucard blinked twice before he glanced up at his wife, her beautiful figure illuminated by the moonlight. She held a long, blood-red greatsword in her delicate hands as if it were a piece of paper and gazed back with gleaming ruby eyes.

"Mikaela... why are you so perfect?"

"Because of your boundless love, and affection, My dear Alucard."

The pair remained silent, the scent of blood flowing through the room like a scented candle, before his lips curled into a grin once again. "Can you sense her, Mikaela. Your old friend seems to have been brought back to live. Perfectly."

Alucard watched his wife’s reaction. He understood her and knew she held doubts about his methods and actions, but as his loyal wife, she accepted and followed him.

Her pupils shrank, and she swallowed.

"Are..." She paused. "Are you going to attack them for real?" Her voice was a little hoarse, throat swelling with the last word.

"Do you still hold affection for them?" Alucard asked with a smirk plastered across his face.

"I..."

"I am your wife."

’Silly woman. I would accept you rebuking me more often. My dear, dear Mikaela. If you asked me to stop in the past... I would. But not now! Now I have found the key to our eternity, something even us vampires cannot have easily!’

"Then first we should contact the Djinn and learn more about their spirit alchemy. I hear that their little rebellious princess is staying at the Volkov mansion." Alucard paused for a moment. He enjoyed the emotions his wife showed after drinking the hybrid blood. "Didn’t they offer an alliance through marriage to our clan? Hahahaha!"

"Will you really burn bridges with your old friend...?" She sank her teeth into her lips and held the blood greatsword tight. "I..."

"Mikaela, I offered him a path and he rejected it." Alucard tapped the desk before grinning deeper. "And so, the young pup must learn the repercussions of revolting against us."

Alucard cracked his neck before standing from the desk with an enormous grin on his face as he pulled a lever on the wall, revealing an old stone staircase heading deeper into the mansion underground.

A cold, murky air drifted from the darkness.

"!!!" Her eyes opened wide as she reached out, but the old vampire already stepped into his secret lair...

The place where the oldest Volkov slept.

"Please don’t do this..." Her whisper barely reached the volume of a mosquito’s cry.

Meanwhile, in a dark, wet dungeon.

A man convulsed while wailing in agony and trying to claw at his face, desperately trying to escape the illusion he was trapped inside.

"Nagisa~ you’re so scary." Elizabeth joked as she dragged her long nails from the forehead of another vampire, four holes oozing blood and grey matter down its cheeks.

Nagisa sighed softly, her dark eyes glowing faintly in the dim torchlight as she stepped closer. "You’re too rough again, Eliza. If you crack his skull, he’ll be no fun to question."

"Do you think these trash will have the answers we want?"

"Fufu, you’re right..."

That’s when Elizabeth stepped towards the last vampire, a female who seemed a little older. "Hello." Her lips curled into an eerie smile as she pushed her fingers deeper. The trembling vampire could only cry as her body shook wildly. "You can feel my claws in your brain, can’t you? Hey~ is the smell of your own terror... delicious? It is, isn’t it?"

Nagisa pinched the bridge of her nose. "Honestly, you’ve been back for less than a day and you’re already a psychopath! Stay away from my cute grandchildren!"

"Fufu~ don’t be jealous, Nagisa. I’m just doing what I’m good at."

Nagisa looked at the small river of blood flowing from the ten vampires that Elizabeth ’questioned’ and shook her head. "If your son knew this side of you..."

Bang!

Elizabeth’s foot slammed beside Nagisa’s face, causing the vixen to step back and draw sharp needles in each of her hands. "Bitch! Don’t scare me like that."

"N.a.g.i.s.a."

The slow, eerie annotation of her voice caused everyone in the room to shudder, especially Dimitri, who had once upset Elizabeth before Ivan and she started dating.

"Big sis... let’s calm down now." Dimitri tried to diffuse the situation, while Ivan shrugged.

"Don’t let the children know this side of business, that’s what we promised each other!"

"Heh, you’re right. Stop getting so upset... but did we ever think he’d become so amazing?" Nagisa smirked as she snapped her fingers, ending another one of her illusions. "We don’t have the time to mess around here. After they sense your aura and blood art. Those bastards will be aiming for our cute son without mercy!"

The tortured vampire, a Sanguis officer judging by the half-broken insignia still clinging to his chest, twitched violently as his eyes rolled back. He gasped out a few broken words, which gave the group all they needed. Names, fragments of places and a simple goal that made Elizabeth and Nagisa frown.

"They’re going to use my father?!"

"Not just that, darling... isn’t that girl who helped revive me the princess they spoke of?"

They learned of two tactics.

The first was to use Viktor Volkov to damage the morale of the Moonlight Alliance and drive Nikolai towards an unstable path. The second was a forced marriage proposal for the Djinn who helped revive Elizabeth, who made some kind of deal with Nikolai to do so.

"I will tell him."

Ivan suddenly appeared behind his wife with one arm around her waist.

"Darling?"

"You don’t need to do this, please enjoy the birth of our grandchildren."

Elizabeth’s cheeks flushed red as she leaned back against Ivan’s chest and closed her eyes. "Mm... sorry. I was just..." Her arms suddenly became limp, and she dropped into his arms, falling into a sudden slumber. "...zzz..."

"It seems her body isn’t fully adapted to life yet," Ivan muttered to himself.

"Brother, you should go and enjoy some time with her, we’ll finish up here. We’re true family now after all."

"Thanks Dimitri, my brother."

"Hahaha, it’s a shame that Vladimir is being annoying..." Dimitri laughed as he watched Ivan carrying Elizabeth upstairs.

"Honey, we should go see Nikita too..."

"Want me to carry you like Ivan?"

"Hmph..."

Although she didn’t speak further, Dimitri chuckled and lifted her. She sat like a queen, her buttocks across his transformed forearm. "Let’s go, meet our cute little grandkids."
