Chapter 462: Show You
"This feels weird."
Dani muttered to herself as she paced the hallways all by her lonesome. She truly couldn’t remember why their Queen and King were both unconscious and yet Abel had told her that she herself requested that he wipe away every detail of what she supposedly knew about such things.
Apparently, it was for the good of the King and Queen, so she couldn’t really argue about it. As such, she simply shrugged at her own choices, especially since their Queen and King were both awake already anyway.
Still, not all were as they seemed. The King lost his memories somehow, but their Queen managed to make it all work. Thankfully, their King was powerful enough to see someone’s past through their memories by drinking their blood, and their Queen used that to their benefit so that he could use her memories instead.
With those thoughts in her head, Dani returned to doing what she was doing. Currently, she was making her way back to their residence when she suddenly stopped and turned in the direction where she had left Zaila. They had just spent some time drinking tea together, and the latter did nothing but pry on her married life.
Clicking her tongue, she continued on with her walk while Zaila’s words replayed themselves inside her head.
’You’re out of your mind giving that condition to the Chancellor. Don’t you know that more often than not, being intimate is a man’s common weakness? Love will eventually follow. What’s important is that the Chancellor is seriously committed to work on your relationship together as a couple.’
’I can’t believe you can be this heartless to your dear husband. You should be making all the effort to please him in every way right now if you want to get his full attention and capture his heart. Of course, that also means making sure that he’s well pleased in bed. You like him, and I can even tell that you love him already, but you shouldn’t do things with the condition that they love you, Dani. You should give them your all without asking him anything in return. That’s how love works.’
Dani felt like a child being scolded by her mother with her friend’s words. Still, she understood Zaila’s point well enough. It looked like she was wrong with how she was managing things between her and Abel, which meant that she had to change things.
