Chapter 457: In Bed
Days passed by and Dani’s Coupling Rites with Abel gradually delayed because of the unexpected events that happened next. Dahlia and Zoran’s wedding turned chaotic because of Devon’s sudden attack, manifesting his dark power through Dahlia’s mother. Zoran’s life was endangered but the king turned Zoran into a vampire to save him.
And then what followed was Prince Raul’s appointment to replace Princess Ezme as the Minister of Defence. Yet above all else, Dani was in dilemma with only one thing... turning down Abel’s advances.
Her husband was so dead set on seducing her so they could consummate their marriage and yet she was not the type to surrender so easily even though it was Abel’s right. She simply wanted their love to blossom first instead of beginning their relationship with lust. And yet, why does it seem to be so out of reach?!
"Ah, maybe I should just simply give in," she scoffed with a crumpled face as she crawled to bed first. Mostly, it was she who would arrive first and she would be asleep by the time Abel would arrive.
"Looks like I’ll be dozing off first again," she yawned as she comfortably lay on the bed. She was exhausted so it was easy for her to fall asleep.
A few moments later, Dani stirred in her sleep, feeling Abel’s familiar touch.
She lazily opened her eyes and smiled the moment she saw her handsome husband. "You’re home. Have you had any dinner?" she sluggishly asked.
"Will you feed me tonight?" he jokingly said. That woke her up and she recalled Abel’s tavern habits. Was he hungry with blood? Was he visiting that tavern to feed? Is that why he’s always home late?
Myriads of questions ran inside her mind so Dani quickly sat on the bed. She offered her wrist to him and said with a pout, "Go ahead, feed on me. It’s alright. I would rather have you feed on me once in a while instead of visiting a tavern to feed on random humans there."
