Chapter 402: First Baby
For some reason, Mineah used a certain amount of energy to calm the bloodthread inside her body as she found out the problem. She had to purify the remnants of dark energy still in it after everything that happened with Jayra.
By the time she opened her eyes, she was panting hard from the exertion.
"Mineah," Xenia worriedly called to her.
"It’s fine now," Mineah reassured them with a slight smile. "There are still some remnants left of dark energy inside my bloodthread, but I just purified it. It’s good now."
At her words, Xenia, Jayra, including Taro, all let out a relieved sigh.
"This calls for a celebration," Xenia declared. "Come. Let’s all have some snacks inside the meeting tent!"
With that, the four of them all walked towards the meeting tent.
"Finally! We’re finally both free!" Jayra beamed the moment they went inside, offering a glass to Taro as she cheered. "Cheers, Taro! Let’s celebrate with a glass before you leave. I bet you miss your wife desperately, so I won’t keep you away from her that much longer."
Jayra chuckled upon seeing how red Taro’s face got as he timidly scratched his head.
