Chapter 381: Wrongdoings
The day of Ahmed’s coronation had finally arrived, and he couldn’t help but grin as he slowly made his way to his new throne. While he had made sure that the coronation itself would be swift and modest, that didn’t mean that he wanted the best day of his life to be everything but there would still be a celebration the likes of which he had never seen before being thrown in his honor. There would be gatherings, and there would be an event where he would surely get Mineah’s final answer.
Of course, that answer being a resounding yes.
His grin intensified even as his feet slowly carried him to his final destination. He had made sure to lay it on thick that he held all the cards in their current relationship. He had that much power over her now, and he made sure to remind her of such at every chance he got. Just seeing her being submissive as opposed to her usual confident gait almost made him hard. He could already imagine him beneath her, her exquisite body ripe for the taking as he sank his fangs deep into her neck. In fact, he would probably be able to plant his seed deep into her easily enough the first time that she’d get pregnant. Nikolai’s seed was probably too impotent to even produce a proper heir.
"All welcome, Lord Ahmed!"
The moment he stepped in front of the throne, all that were in attendance stood up to pay respects to him. Letting his eyes roam, he spotted all of his supporters grinning and cheering at his accomplishments. His mother, Sage, was eagerly clapping for him, and he even spotted some of his fellow coven members giving him their support as they stayed near the back, making sure that nothing would go wrong as they acted as both insurance and guards at the same time.
Back to the coronation, he turned his head to the random court official officiating the proceedings. It would’ve been yet another important member of the court, but he made sure to look as modest as possible during his ascension so he let the old men draw lots and decide who would crown him from there.
"We are all gathered here today to witness the coronation of Ahmed Wagner to the throne of Valcrez," the old man began. "Today will usher forth a new age for the kingdom, for a new clan has finally risen to take on the mantle of ruler of our nation."
A round of polite applause followed, and Ahmed smirked as he spotted Mineah watching as far away from him as possible. It almost looked like she didn’t want to be near him, but that would all change after he was crowned king. Of that, he was certain.
"Now, before the coronation will proceed, would our new king like to speak a few words?"
