Chapter 223: Making Heirs
It was already noon when Mineah finally woke up. She had thought that Nikolai would be gone by then, but she was surprised when she felt his body and arms wrapped around her. She smiled as she carefully turned her head to meet his gaze.
"You really didn’t sleep?" she asked.
"I did. I just took short naps every once in a while," he replied with a smile as he leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Staring at you like this feels more relaxing than sleeping."
Mineah smiled, but it was quickly replaced with a pout as she murmured, "I’m hungry." Clearly, Nikolai had no intentions of letting her out of the bed with how secure she was in his arms.
"I know," Nikolai whispered. "Food will be here soon."
Soon enough, there was a knock on the door, Nikolai stood up naked to address it. As he moved, Mineah couldn’t help but gasp as she was graced with a proper full view of his naked body.
"Put something on," she murmured with a pout.
Nikolai chuckled before quickly grabbing a robe. Putting it on, he opened the door and promptly dismissed the servant who brought a trolley of food to them. Smiling, he pulled on the trolley to deliver her food to her. Likewise, Mineah sat up on the bed as she watched him prepare the table. Standing up, she grabbed a robe for herself before making her way to the table.
"It smells good!" she hummed.
