Chapter 140: This Moment
Mineah leaned in as she let herself drown in Nikolai’s gentle kiss. The fact that he made his confession extra romantic like this simply melted her heart. Heat radiated throughout her chest, her heart overwhelmed with content and yet somehow, she felt like her night was just getting started.
"That means..." Mineah breathed out after parting her lips with her husband, her thoughts failing her as she did her best to speak. "We can finally..."
"Take your time, Mine," Nikolai hummed as he stroked her hair. "We’re not going anywhere anytime soon."
Mineah took her advice to heart as she simply let him rock her back and forth to the music. Their food was seemingly forgotten, and the soft melody playing in the background allowed her to just bask in the atmosphere while she let her body follow along with his steps.
This was... He just said that he loved her. Somehow, just hearing those words made her entire being buoyant at how much emotion flooded into her chest. Even now as she felt his warm embrace envelop her, his loud and steady heartbeats practically booming in her ear as she leaned into his chest... The sensations running rampant in her body almost made her want to just jump for joy.
Still, that wasn’t the most pressing matter right now. She wanted to be with her loving husband as close as she could get. There was no denying it for her now. She wanted him to claim her and take everything she could offer.
Yet somehow the fear of losing him still was holding her back. She simply couldn’t shake off this worry creeping into her heart. She didn’t want to lose him. She felt Nikolai’a hand on her nape, she raised her head and met his strong and firm gaze on hers. His eyes were burning to take her. She could feel it and she simply wanted to get consumed by that fire flaming in him.
Mineah parted her lips but no words came out.
Nikolai took that opportunity and firmly pressed his lips with hers. Mineah couldn’t help but moan just from that sensation alone, his soft lips and tongue doing wonders to her mouth as she felt the familiar feeling of pressure starting to build in her stomach.
"Everything will be alright, Mine. Nothing bad will happen to me because of my deep feelings for you, Nikolai whispered in between his kissing. "There’s no holding us back now, Mine. You’re all mine to take, my love."
Mineah could only muffle out her soft moans of surrender. Those words of assurance from him seemingly erased the remaining hesitation left in her. Right, she shouldn’t worry, everything would be fine.
The music in the background seemed to mimic her overflowing love as it ramped up its rhythm, its speed making their impromptu sway into a full dance as their feet swayed ever so slightly faster. With her feet on their toes, she did her best to deepen their connection, her arms hugging her husband tightly as he did the same to her.
