The Crown's Seduction

Chapter 128: Sisters

Fallen Angels were only known as myths since none would honestly want to boast their existence, especially repenters like her mother who simply wanted a peaceful life here on earth. As such, only the rare people would believe in their existence, unlike their belief in Demons...

Demons, on the other hand, were fallen angels that refused to live righteously like the repenters. Instead, they spread evil on earth like that of Azarel, the previous king of Helion that was killed by his own son Devon who was hell-bent on conquering the world.

There was a moment of silence. Her sister Xenia seemed to fall into deep thought, so Mineah went ahead and read what was going on inside her sister’s mind.

[Ughh... The weight of the crown! Just the thought of all the responsibilities I have to shoulder... Ughhh... My head is spinning just from the thought of it. I shouldn’t have given up on just being a wanderer! Life was so easy and carefree back then!]

Mineah chuckled, "Hahaha! I know that face, Sister. Say goodbye to your dreams of being a wanderer and start getting used to know more about your new kingdom. Cordon is your new home now, although Ebodia will always be our forever home."

"I know, Mineah. Goodness, my head already hurts just from thinking about the responsibilities I have to follow," Xenia groaned. "Anyway, I’ll do my very best to achieve my goals no matter what. I won’t allow my man to have any other qualified Queen to stay by his side except for me," she declared with a grin.

"That’s more like it, Big sister. Aren’t I lucky not to undergo such things while being a Queen? You shouldn’t have run before, because if you didn’t... you would’ve been in my place wearing this crown without so much as having to go through physical torture just to prove yourself worthy like what you’re about to experience," Mineah rambled with a small pout. "But then again, I guess you can’t have everything perfect. In Valcrez, you might not experience physical hardship, but you’ll definitely experience mental exhaustion in return."

"I’m sure you can handle it well, my dear sister..." Xenia cheered her on with a smile. "Among the three of us, you have the strongest mind!"

"Definitely," Mineah answered with a dangerous smirk on her face. "I refuse to simply let them trample us beneath their heel."

Mineah and her big sister continued sharing their respective experiences living in a new foreign land with one another.

"Don’t you have any regrets at all, big sister?" Mineah asked. "I mean, the things that would’ve been if you didn’t run away."

Hearing her question, Xenia smiled as she gently held her hand, caressing it while she looked at her intently.
