Chapter 110: Owed Her Life
Mineah was back at Amaranth Palace and wandered through the beautiful garden accompanied by Dani. Although the palace garden was a sight to behold, she couldn’t help but yearn for her own garden back in Ebodia. She liked ornamental plants but she found more solace in the herbs, wild plants, and flowers found in her garden which she could use in most of her potions.
Letting out a sigh, Mineah plucked a single rose stem and held it delicately in her hand.
"Milady, do you miss the solarium in Ebodia?" Dani’s voice broke the silence from behind her. She approached with a tray of freshly cut fruits and placed it on the table and joined her.
"Yes, I miss taking care of plants. I really can’t wait to grow the seeds and the plants we brought from Ebodia," she said, slightly excited. She had carefully collected rare and precious wild plants during her expeditions in various forests and safely brought them to Amaranth Palace. Since she had only one plant of each kind, she had planted them in pots to ensure their survival.
"Once the Midnight Sun arrives, we can finally settle in the main palace and build a new solarium for you," Dani hummed to which Mineah nodded in agreement.
"Everyone in the palace has become too busy after the incident with Rosela," she murmured because it was what she heard from Nik. Nikolai is personally overseeing everything, especially after Rosela’s confession about Helion’s spies infiltrating our kingdom.
"I’m sure they will be able to wrap up everything soon. It’s a good thing that the royal family is not involved in this. I worry about Niran... The last report we received suggests that Prince Raul is being approached by others with offers to join forces in overthrowing King Nikolai," Dani voiced out her concern.
Mineah started eating the cut fruits, looking at the stem of the red rose she had picked out.
"Milady," Dani called out. Mineah released a sigh and said, "Prince Raul seems sincere towards Niran. I’m sure Niran will be able to handle the situation well, Dani. I trust her... You should too. Niran knows what she’s doing," Mineah replied.
